2020/03/14 “Bandwidth Support for E-learning at Home Scheme”

Dear parents,

Due to covid-19 virus spreading and the school closure it leads to, HKFYG and BGCA have jointly launched the “Bandwidth Support for E-learning at Home Scheme” (the “Scheme”) with sponsors by The Hong Kong Jockey Club, supports by China Mobile, CSL and Smartone.

Under the Scheme, mobile SIM cards with data plans will be given, via schools, to underprivileged primary and secondary school students to facilitate online learning during the school closure period for two months. Priorities are given to those living in sub-divided flats, old buildings or remote areas where high-speed internet broadband access is not available.

Our school has been given a small number of SIM cards under the scheme. Students from CSSA families, or who are under the government financial assistance schemes are eligible and will soon be contacted. For privacy issues, the list of recipients will not be released to the public.

Should you have any inquiries, please feel free to call at our school office number or contact Ms Chung (School Social Worker) directly.
